Everything You Can Book at NY Salt Den

A guide to every service under our roof, from the salt cave to massage, facials, Reiki and more, plus how to choose the right one for you.

Most people first hear about NY Salt Den because of the salt cave, and it really is the heart of what we do. But a lot of first-time guests are surprised by how much more there is under one roof in Latham.

Whether you're after relaxation, muscle relief, healthier skin, or simply an hour to yourself, here's a guide to every service we offer and who each one is best for.

Our Wellness Services

🧂 Halotherapy — The Salt Cave

Our signature experience. You settle into a reclining chair inside our 70,000-lb Himalayan salt cave while a halogenerator fills the air with microscopic dry salt particles. Sessions run 50 minutes. There is nothing to do but breathe normally and relax, and plenty of guests drift off under the starry ceiling.

Great for: anyone looking for deep relaxation and a reset, people who want to breathe a little easier, and first-time visitors. Kids are welcome too (just let us know their age when booking).

💆 Massage Therapy

Personalized massage from experienced therapists, with options including Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, prenatal, and lymphatic facilitation. Your therapist will check in before the session to tailor pressure and focus areas to what your body needs that day.

Great for: sore muscles, tension from desk work or training, expecting moms (prenatal), and anyone who simply needs an hour off their feet.

✨ Holistic Facials

Facials made with natural and organic ingredients, including crystal stone treatments. They are designed to nourish and revitalize skin without harsh products, and they are a calming, pampering hour in their own right.

Great for: dry or tired skin (especially as the weather turns colder), a pre-event glow, or a gentler alternative to clinical facials.

🙌 Reiki Healing

A gentle Japanese energy practice. You stay fully clothed while a trained practitioner uses light touch, or works just above the body, to help restore balance and release tension. Many guests describe leaving lighter and calmer. Read our full Reiki guide.

Great for: stress, emotional fatigue, feeling "off," or anyone curious about energy work.

🦶 Reflexology

Therapeutic pressure applied to specific points on the feet, hands, and ears. Reflexology is rooted in zone therapy and is deeply relaxing.

Great for: people on their feet all day, stress relief, and guests who want a calming treatment that isn't a full-body massage.

🔴 Red Light Therapy

State-of-the-art red light sessions that support skin health and cellular regeneration, with a focus on reduced inflammation and overall vitality. Sessions are quick, warm, and easy to fit into a busy week.

Great for: skin health, recovery, and anyone building a regular wellness routine.

🌡️ Infrared Sauna

A relaxing session of dry infrared heat that warms the body directly. It soothes muscles, boosts circulation, and leaves you feeling renewed. On cold Capital Region days it is especially hard to beat.

Great for: muscle recovery, unwinding after work or workouts, and warming up in the colder months.

🧼 Back Scrubs

A deeply cleansing, exfoliating treatment that removes dead skin and unclogs pores, leaving the hard-to-reach skin on your back smooth and refreshed.

Great for: a quick refresh, skin that needs exfoliation, or an add-on to a massage visit.

Pairing Services for a Longer Visit

Many of our regulars combine services into one visit. A few favorite pairings:

  • Salt cave + massage: unwind in the cave, then let a therapist work out the tension.
  • Salt cave + Reiki: a calm, restorative combination for stress and mental fatigue.
  • Infrared sauna + massage: warm muscles respond beautifully to massage work.
  • Facial + red light therapy: a skin-focused visit, ideal heading into the drier winter months.

Each service books separately on Vagaro. If you'd like help lining up back-to-back times, just call us at (518) 785-7258. Looking for a bundled experience? Take a look at our spa packages.
